Product Care
Varelio · Product Care
Care well.
Keep it in rotation.
Thoughtful care helps clothing, bags, luggage and everyday accessories stay ready for the routines, commutes and journeys they are part of. Start gently, act early and always follow the product-specific care label when one is provided.
Product materials and constructions vary. Where a garment label, product tag or item-specific instruction differs from this general guide, follow the instructions supplied with your item.
Care by category
A considered approach for everyday pieces.
Different materials respond differently to water, heat, pressure and cleaning products. The safest routine is simple: check the label, use the least aggressive method first and allow every item to dry completely before storing it.
Clothing
Protect shape, texture and color by following the garment label and limiting unnecessary heat or aggressive washing.
Bags & Luggage
Remove surface dirt promptly, avoid saturation and store pieces clean, dry and supported in their natural shape.
Fashion Accessories
Keep lenses, jewelry, belts, scarves and hats away from avoidable moisture, abrasion and harsh cleaning agents.
Everyday Accessories
Empty, wipe and organize small essentials regularly so hardware, closures and surfaces remain clean and functional.
Essential guide
The small habits that make a difference.
Regular light care is usually more effective than waiting for heavy cleaning. These general practices are designed for Varelio's mix of clothing, bags, travel pieces and daily accessories.
Let the care label lead.
Before washing
Read the garment care label first. Empty pockets, close zippers where appropriate and separate pieces by color and fabric weight before cleaning.
Use gentle treatment
When the label permits washing, avoid hotter water or stronger cycles than required. Excessive heat and agitation can affect shape, surface texture and color.
Dry with care
Follow the drying symbols on the label. Reshape pieces while damp when appropriate and avoid prolonged direct heat unless the product instructions specifically allow it.
Store between wears
Make sure clothing is clean and fully dry before storage. Fold knitwear or structured pieces when hanging could distort their shape.
Clean lightly. Keep the structure.
Empty first
Remove personal items and loose debris from every pocket and compartment. Gently shake out interiors before wiping surfaces.
Start with a soft cloth
For general surface dust, use a clean soft cloth. If a slightly damp cloth is suitable for the material, test a discreet area before treating a larger section.
Avoid soaking
Do not immerse or machine wash bags and luggage unless the individual product instructions specifically state that it is safe to do so.
Dry naturally
Let damp items air dry completely away from concentrated heat. Keep compartments open during drying so trapped moisture can escape.
Use less before using more.
Material awareness
Fabric, coated surfaces, leather-like materials and natural leather can require different treatment. Avoid applying one cleaner across every material.
Skip harsh products
Avoid bleach, strong solvents, abrasive powders and rough scrubbing unless the item's own instructions explicitly call for them.
Protect hardware
Wipe zippers, buckles, wheels and metal details with a soft dry cloth after exposure to dirt or moisture. Do not force a closure that feels obstructed.
Test first
When using any suitable care product, test a small hidden area first and allow it to dry before assessing the result.
Keep daily details protected.
Sunglasses
Remove dust gently and clean lenses with a suitable soft lens cloth. Store them in a protective case when not in use to reduce scratching.
Jewelry
Keep pieces dry and separate where possible. Limit direct contact with perfume, lotions, household chemicals and prolonged moisture.
Scarves & hats
Follow any attached care label. Avoid crushing structured hats during storage and keep scarves clean, dry and protected from snagging.
Wallets & organizers
Avoid overfilling, which can stretch seams and closures. Empty compartments periodically and wipe away dust before long-term storage.
Between uses
Store with room to breathe.
Storage is part of product care. Keep items clean and fully dry, and avoid leaving clothing, bags or accessories compressed under heavy objects for extended periods.
For structured bags and luggage, light internal support can help maintain shape. Keep straps relaxed rather than tightly folded, and store pieces away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive humidity and concentrated heat.
Simple routine
Four steps after regular use.
A few minutes of attention after a commute, weekend away or longer journey can prevent dirt and moisture from becoming harder to manage later.
Empty
Remove belongings, receipts, packaging and loose debris from pockets and compartments.
Inspect
Check seams, closures, wheels, handles and high-contact areas so small issues are noticed early.
Refresh
Brush or wipe away surface dust using a method suitable for the material, without unnecessary saturation.
Dry & store
Allow every piece to become completely dry before closing compartments or returning it to storage.
After travel
Reset your travel pieces before the next departure.
Luggage and travel bags often collect dust, moisture and pressure marks in transit. A short reset before storage keeps them organized and ready for the next trip.
Travel reset
Before putting everything away.
- Empty every compartment and remove loose debris from seams and corners.
- Wipe wheels, handles and exterior contact areas with a method appropriate for the material.
- Leave compartments open until any residual moisture has fully evaporated.
- Avoid storing heavy items on top of soft-sided bags or structured accessories.
- Keep luggage in a cool, dry location away from prolonged direct sunlight.
