Size Guide

A considered fit begins with the right measurements. Use this guide to understand how to measure clothing, wearable accessories and travel essentials before choosing what feels right for you.

Sizing and fit can vary by style. When product-specific measurements are available, use those measurements as your primary reference.

Everyday Comfort

Weekend Travel

Start with your own measurements.

Use a soft measuring tape and keep it comfortably close to the body without pulling it tight. For a consistent result, measure over lightweight clothing and keep the tape level.

01

Chest

Measure around the fullest part of the chest while keeping the tape level across the back.

02

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline while keeping the tape relaxed and parallel to the floor.

03

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally.

04

Inseam

Measure from the top of the inner leg to the point where you want the trouser hem to sit.

05

Sleeve

Measure from the shoulder point along the arm to your preferred cuff position.

Measure according to what you are choosing.

Different product categories use different reference points. Compare your measurements with the information provided on the individual product page whenever possible.

CLOTHING / 01

Tops, Shirts & Layers

Chest measurement is usually the strongest starting point. Consider how you intend to layer the piece and whether the product is designed for a closer or more relaxed fit.

CLOTHING / 02

Pants & Trousers

Use waist and hip measurements together, then check inseam or garment length where available. If you are between measurements, consider the intended cut of the style.

ACCESSORIES / 03

Belts, Hats & Wearable Accessories

Measure the area where the item will naturally sit. For belts, measure around the position where you wear the belt. For hats, measure around the fullest part of the head.

BAGS / 04

Bags & Luggage

Bags and luggage are best compared by their listed width, height and depth rather than clothing size. Review the dimensions to make sure the capacity and scale suit your needs.

Think beyond the size label.

Fabric, construction and intended silhouette can all influence how a piece feels when worn.

Material

Consider stretch.

Fabrics with stretch may feel more flexible, while structured materials can create a more defined fit.

Silhouette

Check the intended fit.

Relaxed, regular and close-fitting styles are designed to sit differently even when carrying the same size label.

Layering

Allow for what sits underneath.

For jackets, outerwear and heavier layers, consider the clothing you expect to wear underneath the piece.

A few useful things to know.

What should I do if I am between two sizes?

Compare your measurements with the product-specific information first. Your preferred silhouette, the material and whether you plan to layer the item can help determine which option feels more suitable.

Are all Varelio products sized exactly the same?

Fit can vary between styles and product categories. Measurements or fit information shown on an individual product page should be treated as the most relevant reference for that item.

How should I check the size of a bag or suitcase?

Review the listed width, height and depth on the product page. Consider what you plan to carry and the type of commute or travel you expect to use it for.

What if a product does not show a specific measurement I need?

Contact Varelio if you need additional sizing information for a particular item. Providing the product name and the measurement you need will help make your question clear.

Choosing the right fit should feel straightforward.

If you have a question about the fit, measurements or dimensions of a particular Varelio item, our customer care team can help you review the available product information.
